Fallout 3 - Problem when rescuing people

anyway to stop them - once engaged with an enemy to un-engage ?

its frustrating the heck out of me - just saved "Red" from the Police station and first attempt see engaged some Super Mutants - and even though 2 vs 1 - she just kept going after them

2nd time - she "engaged" one of those flying bug things, and just started running off the complete opposite direction to our goal running after the bug

after about 15 mins of trying to catch up I managed to take out the bug with a long range rifle - and then Red "reset" - and finally she'd follow me again

is this just a bug in the game ? as its very annoying - seems that if they engage with anyone the only way for them to stop is if that thing they are engaging is taken out

crashes aside (every 4 mins in some case !!! ) its a great game - most I've played a single player game in a long while

ah good idea - cheers

got to look a thte crashing problem though - will follow some of the hints and tips around the net - but last night was crashing every 5 mins sometimes - especially indoors. Dropped my overclock in case it was that but made no difference.

annoys me that alt-tab doesn't work either

good job the game loads quick !!

love the targetting system - thought from looking at reviews I'd hate it - but it works really well - if a bit violent !
