Fallout 3 Saves

Ok, so i download Fallout 3 from Steam on Friday afternoon and played it brilliantly no problems. I then download the update for it, and ALL my save games have gone.

Now, if i browse through the files in the steam directory to Fallout3, i CAN find the save files themselves but i have no idea where to copy and paste them to, in order to be able to use them.

Ive gone through the net and a lot of people are blaming it on Games For Windows Live (fail) and the fact that you have to paste the save files into that directory. But..... i never signed up for a GFWL account so whats the point?

Help! im running XP for those who have an answer lol

try looking in documents/mygames/fallout 3....i have vista i dont know about xp but its should be similar....or look in your steam folder;)

Me too, All I had to do was copy the saves from the save folder to a new created folder with my username.

But that was after cursing a million times when I saw that there were no savegames in the game :mad: :p


Totally OT but is there a mod to stop the enemies from exploding into a thousand pieces after I kill them?
 
Well, i just completed it - i stuck pretty much to the main story and well, its pretty short really. I saved before the end and tried the three choices of ending. Sacrafice myself, let her die or insert the FEV virus. Neither result was particularly inspiring. I suppose now i should go back and do all the side quests. Cant seem to get motivated though!
