Fallout 4 GOTY Xbox One X question

I had Fallout 4 when it launched on the PS4 and got a fair way through it, but something else must have caught my attention and I've never finished it. I think I was about halfway through. I still have my PS4 but it was that long ago I've not got the saved game.

I picked up the GOTY edition for £15 for my 1X and am starting again. I realise this isn't officlally enhanced for Xbox with HDR etc, but have they done something with the game to improve visuals? It looks way better than I ever remembered?

Going to slowly plod through, if I wanted to do the main quest and all the DLC in this version how many hours would I need to sink into it?

:)

I believe it still ups the detail a little compared to PS4 :-)

Shame it runs at 30 FPS though - it's THE killer thing about gaming on consoles for me.

There was an update for the PS4 pro ages ago so would have thought there would be something for the X. I think I did 150 hours on the main game but never finished all the DLC. It just wasn't as good as the main game. Fallout doesn't really work when not in the wasteland. Do you still get Fallout 3 with it? that's just as good really and i Replayed that to platinum after Fallout 4

Either way, it looks great to me.

Slowly plodding through, it's starting to come back to me bit by bit. Just doing the Cambridge Police Station missions, almost level 9. I can't remember at level it's save to venture toward Diamond City, I must be there or thereabouts. Only 1 way to find out.

Thoroughly enjoying it, I'd never realised you could use the workbench to store your loot/junk and you can access it across it wherever there's a bench, making a big difference to settlement building and money.

I've no idea how the DLC integrates, they've all downloaded. Not sure on FO3

I think you can only access the stuff from benches in the same area but much later on you can get a perk to not slow down when overcome and a perk to fast travel when overcome so you can loot everything in sight then fast travel to a bench (i used the same one throughout) and store everything there, then fast travel back

You can get a Perk to open up supply lines between settlements, that way you can share everything between the benches. Also, make sure you max out the science perk so you can build a load of Water purifiers and power them with a nuclear generator. You can sell the purified water at stores and basically empty them of resources, I had 25 running across the water in sanctuary hills, it meant you could load yourself up with 600 bottles of purified water a day (20caps a bottle), fast travel to diamond city etc and fill your boots with steel, wood, glass etc and build exactly what you want. I also bought my own place in Diamond City (saw the mayor to buy it) and stored all my fancy stuff there.

Well my quest log is slowly filling up, I'm not in new territory yet, as in I got this far last time.
Got about to go into Fort Hagen looking for Kellogg and I've got the Castle quest for the Minutemen which I remember last time.

On my first play I do remember going somewhere in the lower left corner of the map (I think) which looked like a highly radiated no-go zone, but I don't remember much after that. Enjoying the variety of quests though.

One perk I thought was well worth having was the one that slowly regenerates your health. Now it won't help you out in combat as it is quite slow but out of combat, the game is slow paced so the next time you need to think about health, you usually have it. Once i had this perk (can't remember the name) I stopped bothering with food items to save on carry weight and to avoid rads.

What an amazing game, I’m halfway through the nuka cola dlc then I’ve completed all dlcs. Been playing it on/off last 4 years
