Fallout Collection Help

Just bought this to try a hand at the fallout games again, however ive hit a block.

I cant install Fallout 1

It starts the install program and then crashes saying "The current version of the application could not be determined. The setup will now terminate"

someone please help.

Ive found somewhere that tells you how to manualy install but my disk seems to be set differently, has different cab and data files.

I remember that bug, cant think of the solution but I solved it from a guide at no mutants allowed (fallout FAN website).
From memory theres files to copy and things to unzip before you install, but it should work afterwards.

However i managed to sort this .

Did a search with the error message and it turns out to be a messup witht he installation process. You have to rename the installwizard folder or some such in the temp dir. Regardless i fixed it and yet again im saving the inhabitants of Shady Sands.

I encoutered a really awful bug in F1, right in the last bit of the game, and couldn't go any further Up until that point, everything had been OK. Basically if I tried to take the lift down to (what I think is) the final area of the game, it would always crash.

I couldn't find any solution on the net either :/
