I had a quick search but only found the original vegas thread, I was wondering if there is a list of mods?

Any high res texture packs?

Cool cheers, any ocuk recommended/tried and tested ones? :)

My GPU isnt even touching 50% usage and the CPU.. well.. barely 20 by the looks of it I need to give it another go :)

I'd like a specific mod for hi rez gun textures, is there such a mod available?

It rather kills the immersion when youre traversing through arid wasteland, then you glance at your gun and its the lowest level of detail for a ingame weapon you've ever seen.

I also really want to play this through with mods, but it looks like a right minefield (forgive the pun) of information concerning what mod to use.

EVE mod has a lot of redone textures, tried that?

Project Nevada's a general overhaul of the game, you might want to try that one.

Here are some of the mods i used on a playthrough, they are all great-

NMC's Textures- besty high res texture pack
Project Reality- Weather and lighting mod, absolutely brilliant
EVE- improves visual effects
Imaginator- Allows you to change visual settings in game
WMX- - Weapons mods expanded
**** New Vegas- many new weapons and gameplay tweaks, works with Project Nevada, but not the equipment module
More perks
NVR strip- restores the strip
Electro City - Improves lighting at night
New Vegas Bounties1 and 2 - great quests
A world of pain- adds lots of great new areas

There are many many other great mods, but i haven't got time atm. Here is my NEw Vegas Mod manager-

I can recommend all of the mods on there, also you can go to New Vegas Nexus and choose Top 100 of all time and change the category for different types of mods.

Jesus thats a lot of mods lol.

I really dont know whats a good improvement without sifting through it all. I'm mainly after a visual boost and maybe an inventory sorter.. all the casings and scrap metal/tin is a little annoying heh.

Not really keen on anything that adds more content to the game as I want to complete the official stuff first, I have all the DLC but when I first completed it.. I didnt have any DLC :)

Edit: Downloaded most the ones you suggested.. keen to try it now.. so I'll bbl :D

Ouch, the weather one when you set it to rain.. knocks a good 20-25fps off.. but the GPU usage doesn't go up so I'm not quite sure why thats happening, seeing as at the time the gpu usage is only 40-50% :S I like it but I cant play with that fps :(

Again, totally agree mate.. just odd that it can drop than many FPS even though the GPU usage isn't maxed, nor CPU.. a little odd tbh

Is it VRAM related? I had the same problems with fallout 3 modded with higher res textures (ran fine) but slowed considerably with weather mods that caused rain / clouds. I also have a 1gb 5870. When I was playing it I didn't have the new afterburner which measures VRAM use so I'm only guessing
