For anyone considering a purchase from Overclockers:

Take the delivery timeframes with a pinch of salt – they don’t always reflect reality.

Planning for a DPD Sunday delivery? It's like playing roulette. And if things don't go as planned, don’t expect an email heads-up. And just a heads-up: there's no customer service on Sundays.

By the look of their website UI, it wouldn't be a surprise if they don't have a modern automated email notification for delivery issues. Feels like a throwback to 2005.

Fool me once, shame on you. Fool me twice? That's on me. But there won’t be a third time.

Real beauties.

Tesco value beans as well.

DPD tried to deliver a camera the other week, I worked from home that day so was in all day and sat with a view to the front window. When delivery time arrived I got an email saying a delivery attempt had been made and left a card.

I looked in my hallway and see no card, looked at the email again and it was attached with it a photo as proof that they had delivered it.

The photo shows my neighbour's door, not only that, it shows the number of their house, which doesn't match the delivery address, which I checked...had been correct. So he thought he went to the right place, took a photo of the wrong door, with the wrong number and still didn't click in his head. Luckily he was still down the street and I had to run down there with my driving licence to get the parcel from his van.

Hi

If you've had an issue with delivery your best bet is to contact the store tomorrow, AFAIK DPD Sunday delivery is "Best effort" and they don't have many customer service staff on Sundays. I don't think OCUK have any customer service staff on Sundays, just some of the warehouse guys.
Unfortunately issue do occur with deliveries, and weekend ones tend not to have the staffing to catchup at the depots.

DPD have really gone downhill these last few years.

Personally I think DHL Parcel and even Royal Mail are on the up.
Royal Mail around my way have been going downhill massively, especially since privatisation and the "efficiency savings", I've moaned repeatedly about how they don't appear to be delivering every day, an increase in lost packages and the fact that only "tracked" mail seems to be arriving within the legally mandated timeframe, and is often sent out at about midday from the bigger delivery office next town over, almost like they've panicked when they've realised they've got a load that isn't going to make it.

Nice 1st (or 0th) post @psx3 - welcome to our close-knit clan!

Just 1000 more posts and membership for 180 days, and you'll have access to the MM :-)

If the post is serious though then it's numerous logistics companies that can be outside of their delivery windows sometimes. You just have to have the app (DPD, DHL, Amazon etc) which will give you better (but not perfect) timings. Asda drivers have a knack of delivering early.
