My Darling Daughter loves to join in with daddy on the PC!

Unfortunately that large button with a blue light is too tempting for her two year old fingers:(

Can anybody recommend a case that either has a lockable door or is resistant to tampering fingers? Preferably cheap too.

Thanks a lot.

just remove the little front panel wire labeled "Power LED" and "HDD LED"

that is probably the quickest and easiest thing i can suggest :)

Or you could buy any case you want and not wire up the front power button or reset switch? You could rewire in a small push button power switch somewhere discreet? Don't really need reset. Or, if your PSU has a rocker on/off switch, you can set your BIOS to turn the comptuer back on when power is restored to the PSU. So you can use the rocker switch to effectively turn the computer on by flicking it off then back on again this will initiate a startup. To shut the machine down you can just use START > Shutdown from the OS.

Just some ideas for you as I have been through all that and got fed up with having to use a case with a door as they are often limited.

AShe will still figure out that thats what you need to press! They tend to copy everything you do anyway. Once they get a reaction, then thats it, game over!

Best off disconnecting the power switch altogether, and moving it to a key switch or similar.

Can't you just set windows to do nothing when the buttons pressed? (I haven't used windows in a while)

Hehe, i know the feeling mate. Many a time my little girl loved to turn daddies pc off in the middle of an Ebay bidding war. The Gigabyte Aurora case deals with this lovely. It's got pull out feet that add extra support so the little one won't be able to topple it over so easy. The power and reset buttons are covered by a 5mm thick piece of cast aluminium with a lock on the side. Depending on which model you choose, the lock is on the right hand side on early models (mine) and on the left hand side on later models. Can get them dirt cheap now too, but they are a rare find now. I would try and get one with the perspex window in the side to keep the dust down. The case came with both mesh and perspex sides from new.

Saw one go on here the other week for £25 HERE Still for sale i see.

Thanks for all the suggestions. I hadn't thought of rigging up an alternative power switch - duh! I am sure that will do the job for a while.
