Family Guy - It's A Trap!

Best bit were the cameos.

Claus as Admiral Ackbar and Roger as Imperial officer actually got a cheer from the visiting family.

I thought it was decent enough. There are only so many gags that can be done over and over, its limited material to work with.

Claus' first appearance made me blurt out a lol and i like the whole ewok slant :O

Mmm It was better than Something Something Dark Side, probably on par with Blue Harvest. There were some laughs.

- Claus made me laugh, It's A Trap is a winner as far as most gags go :p
- Ewoks got a chuckle from me
- Speeder bikes :p
- Han/Peter coming out of the Carbonite :p, classic Peter Griffin.

I think the gags in the Robot Chicken ones have more punch to them, and i'd say they are a bit more carefully crafted. Robot Chicken turns Star Wars on its head for laughs with some clever sketches.

Family Guy just has its characters assume the roles of the various Star Wars characters, while they keep their Family Guy personalities. Insert a few short gags here and there without any clever, outside of the box sketches.

80% family guy humor/20% clever star wars sketches/gags.

The gags from Family Guy whether it's the series/sw trilogy can be a bit purile, silly and simple, somethimes it works, but a majority of the time its very 'meh'. Robot Chicken from my observations has some more wit and complexity.

The trilogy got some laughs, but i wasn't splitting my sides with laughter. Very much Family Guy episodes themed around and using the narrative/content of the original trilogy, rather than a set of Family Guy Star Wars special episodes.

yea I know its not as good as empire..... :p

I really liked it tbh. I'm still not sure if its as good as the previous ones but I still love it tbh.

Loved the bit in the sand dunes when all hell breaks loose then the Chicken (bobbafet) jumps onto the other ship. Chewy goes watch out behind you han. They then do that were stare at eachother gag.... turns round ! wheres he gone... guy with arm sliced off "he fell", what really "yup fell off".

There was some really good points, there was also a few meh bits but overall I think it was good. Loved the start tho, when all the lights go off and stewie says oh no we going to do jedi. Peter then says urgh lets just get this over with lol..

seems to be less jokes and more just remake of star wars but as a cartoon

needs more lulz

That's the issue I've always had with these.
I love Family Guy, but it just always feels a lot like they are just remaking Star Wars with Family Guy characters and the laughs aren't really there most of the time.

I think I like it more when they reference something unusual, say like when in the 2nd one, Brian turns to the camera and says "Why is Lando wearing Han's clothes in this scene? Seriously, watch the film..."
