Where have I hear the name Mario Testino before? Any ideas?

He took some pretty well-known images of Pricess Diana - stunning candid portraits that created a bit of hoo-hah in the press and put him into the limelight for a while?

His name also sounds like a typical DJ/Footballer/F1-driver :D.

Thanks! I know the pictures that you are talking about. I really love that series of her, they look so full of life. Wasn't it on the cover of Vanity Fair?

I'm gonna research him for my photography course now.

Thanks

Good stuff. Yes, I think they certainly were published in one of the style/fashion magazines. He's got an amazing knack for that style of photography that makes the subject leap out of the frame, revealing much more about them.

I got to see some of his work at his Portraits exhibition at the National Portrait Gallery a couple of years ago - they really do have a great impact on a large-scale, and those Diana pictures in particular were quite something.
