FAN and CPU header help needed!!

Hi all

I'm replacing a loud fan on a desktop so I bought below-

But I have found that I cant connect it to CPU header as plastic on connector is different....

Here is CPU fan header -

And here are the 2 connectors that came with fan-

3 PIN

4 PIN but plastic tracks in wrong place...

Any ideas what I should do....have a bought wrong fan?

The first picture shows a chase fan header not cpu header.

That is the header that CPU fan came out of.....the cpu just has a heat sink with fan connected to that header to cool...

You could file down the raised plastic on the 4 pin connector. What motherboard is it ?

It says on the board CH FAN1, it's not for the CPU

Ok that's cool so seems this HP pc does not have a cpu fan header as that's the one that was used.....so what 92mm fan should I buy to fit that header?

Just file down the raised plastic on the 4 pin connector.

Great that worked!!! I used a Stanley knife......very extra danger....

Right so now I'm replacing the PSU fan....I have opened up and taken out fan and its the same as the other one so it has a 4pin connector...shall I just buy the same again and cut plastic off? Or can you recommend fan with correct 4 pin header?
