im guessing this goes here as its more of a question.

ive seen cases where you can add slim fans behind the mobo, was just wondering if there was any benefits on having it?

what are peoples thoughts on it.

I think these cases place a fan on the opposite side of the tray to the motherboard not between the motherboard and tray! :P

A lot of motherboards (like ones from Asus and Gigabyte) have some rudimentary cooling on the backside. In this case I can see how a little airflow behind the motherboard could help, areas around the CPU/VRMs do get very hot.

Basically if you have a case that fits one, you can power a fan in that position, aren't phased by extra noise/vibration or you have a very silent fan then what harm can it do?

Obviously you might as well take advantage of the small good it will do if its there but I wouldn't make it a notable point if you were deciding on a case.
