Which of the following fans is best for cool and quiet operation?
I want them to rplace the case fans in my Antec 902 case and also the fan on my CoolIt ALC CPU cooler.

1. Akasa AK-FN059 120mm Ultra Quiet Viper Cool Fan - 3/4 Pin
2. Akasa AK-FN058 Apache Black Super Silent 120mm Fan - 4 Pin PWM
3. or other?

I've heard lots of good things about the Apache Black...

The Coolink SWiF2 120P and Thermalright TR TY-140 rae both good fans too

I'm a big fan (get it?!) of the gentle typhoons, mainly because I use dust filters and they have a decent static pressure to pull air through them. Quiet, good airflow

the apache and the viper are pretty much the same fan. The only difference is that the viper has a higher max rpm (1900RPM). in the 800-1300rpm range i believe they perform identically.

oh, ones black and ones yellow :p

The Viper is a far better fan than the Apache to use on your CPU, l'm using 3 on my 360 Rad.

they are the same in the speed range of the apache (ie, same amount of airflow at the same speed producing the same amount of noise). The viper has the advantage of going faster than that for more airflow at the cost of more noise. Thats what in trying to say.
