Fan connections

Hello guys,

I plan on doing a mini-itx build and am unsure on where to plug in my fans. My MB has 1 CPU fan header when my heatsink requires 2. I also have 2 case fans but only one on my MB.

Would I be correct in thinking that I plug my CPU fans into the available spaces on the MB and that the case fans are molex and they plug straight to the power supply.

You could get a "Y" adapter that allows you to plug the two heatsink fans into a single header?

Are your CPU and chassis headers 3 or 4 pin?

Which type of connectors do your fans have i.e. 3 pin, 4 pin, molex etc.?

Well I have solved one problem the CPU fans both connect to the same header with a y connector. Not sure about case fans though for my bitfenix prodigy.

Can do the same for the case fans. Y connector to motherboard

I also have a quick question, no point in making a new thread when one exists already

. i have my 2 CPU fans plugged into my mobo but the rest of my case fans i have molex from the PSU (3 running that way) kinda stacked up molexs then the 3 pins stacked, if that makes any sense

Just wondering if that is ok because in bios always said my fans were running at 100%
