Hello, I'm am new to overclockers UK and I'm also new to overclocking.
Recently I have installed speed fan to control each individual fan on my pc.
2 stock fans from the CM storm enforcer, 1 gpu fan (controlled separately) 1 cpu heatsink fan.
I can control the front fan normally without any problems.
I have two problems however:
The back fan cannot be controlled at all and possibly not even detected. My only options are PWM1 PWM2 and PWM3 for fan control none of which change the back fan.
My second problem is that Pwm 1 (which controls the CPU) works fine but then when i attempt to adjust Pwm 3 it also adjusts the CPU heatsink but in a different way which starts causing noises (squeaks like a hard drive) if it is set to anything below 45%.
I don't know what the control does but I leave it on 0% and only adjust the Pwm 1 but I'm afraid this could be causing problems. Here are some results for what the combination of Pwm1/2 does:
Pwm1: 80% Pwm3: 0% Fan1 820 RPM Temp (Idle) 40deg.C
Pwm1: 0% Pwm3 80% Fan 1 0 RPM (off) Temp (Idle) 50-60deg.C
Pwm1: 80% Pwm3 80% Fan 1 2470 RPM (Loud) Temp (Idle) 25-30deg.C
Sorry if this is confusing or I haven't followed any procedures. From what I remember system specs are important so:
Amd FX 6300, 7870 LE, non modular power supply 550w, gigabyte UEFI am3+ board, 7200rpm seagate hard drive windows 7.
