Fan control

Ok as some know ive just installed a water cooling kit from OC and nearly everything is perfect apart from getting the 3 pin corsair fans from the kit to scale down when full pelt is not needed I can get cpu one to slow down but system fan 3 where I have the other connected runs at full steam all the time :eek:

anyone can tell me how to fix this would be great I have the gigabyte uh5h on the f14 bios seems all these boards are set for pwm fans now

perhaps the cpu header is the only one that can control 3 pin fans.

For a watercooled loop I would suggest purchasing a fan controller. Lamptron do a really nice range.

What about a fan splitter so that both fans run off the CPU header and therefore both slow down as required.

I had a similar problem.

My motherboard (Sabertooth 990FX) can control 3 pin fans and can change it's speed as required. I used the Corsair F case fans you have but my BIOs did not detect them at all. I used spare fans from NZXT and Akasa but my motherboard detected them when they where in the system fan header and was able to control their speed.

Is your motherboard able to detect that these fans are connected?

yes it sees them just only changes cpu fan speed
