hi I'm looking to get an aquaero4 or 5 but the only thing I can't fathom out is how many fans I can connect to each header on the controller

the manual says that it takes a max of 10watt per channel but the info I can find out about the akasa vipers is that they are 0.17amp each & 12 volt ????

how does this convert to number of fans per channel I'm
confused

Aquaero 4 has been discontinued.

Aquaero 5 can handle 35ish watts per channel with the waterblock or 20 watts with the heatsink. That would work out at 1.5 amps ish per channel with the heatsink.

or 9 fans.. However it can only handle a total of 60 wats total without the waterblock.

Watts = Amps * Voltage

So each fan is 2W

10 watts at 12 volts is about 0.8 Amps so you could safely wire 4 Vipers to a single channel.

Watts = Volts x Amps is the magic formula here.
