Fan controller + fans

Am new to this stuff, so could someone give me a hand please

I need a few more fans because my PC is getting a bit hot, but i do not want them running at full speed all of the time. Whats the best controller + fans?

I use the NZXT Sentry 2 Touch Screen Fan Controller, allows control of 5 extra fans along with temperature monitoring of 5 locations within your case. It takes 1 bay in your case & very simple to set up.

Lamptron FC series is a top controller capable of handling even high power fans. It is also highly configurable in terms of display colours, fan rpms, temps. It could be overkill though as I'd guess all you want is a bog standard fan controller.

so what type of fans would be best ? 3 or 4pin?

I don't know any fan controller that controls via pwm so it doesn't matter whether they are 3 or 4 pin just get the fans you want. The only thing you may need to watch out for is the 4 pin plug is obviously wider than 3 pin and if the plugs are enclosed 3 pin then you might need to cut the enclosure to get the 4 pin plug in.
