fan controller for antec 900

I just bought a fan controller to go in my antec 900 but now notice the controller only accepts 3 pin plugs BUT the antec fans are 4 pin molex Is it ok to use these adaptors

somebody said i couldnt use a controller with these fans as the third cable for adjusting speed isnt attached or something ????

I was not aware of that issue, someone else should be able to confirm that with you, I cannot see why your controller would not over-ride the issue if there was one. If this is a problem than the other option would be to purchase a couple of new fans.

The 3rd cable is for monitoring speed. Fan controllers adjust the input voltage and have nothing to do with the nonexistant RPM monitor on the Antec fans.

ok i wired it all up to the scythe kama meter and get no joy from the antec fans ???? they dont run
I have fitted an extra fan on the side of the antec - this one

and using the adaptor which comes with it (exactly the same adaptor as I have used on the antec fans) this fan works perfectly with the kama meter.
So I can only assume the antec case fans wont work with the scythe kama meter
Anybody have any suggestions as to what to try next ?

buy new fans dude,ive had the same problem as you with the fan controller,i replaced all the fans with sharkoon fans and sold the antec fans on the bay.

Are the fans set on the Maximum speed via the 3 position switch?

they are mate all set to maximum and nothing I really do think I'll just swap the fans now as I want to get this finished

if your thinking of selling the fans from your 900 then give me a shout m8,i sold all my fans and replaced them and now ive got a p190 and used alll my fans in the 190 and i havent got any fans for the 900 now and im selling it soon so i would like some fans to go with it,let me know what you deceide m8.

Wouldnt have a clue how much to ask for them mate ????

EDIT - looks like they are fetching around £4 - £5 each on another well known auction site
