Hi All,

Just moved my DDC from an XSPC res top to an XSPC DDC res bay thingy, what I have noticed is a bit more noise & was wondering if a fan controller would help. My DDC is molex powered but I think it can be converted with a molex to 3 pin adapter.

What I want to do is hook up my 18w DDC to the FC along with my 3 Air Penetrator 180mm fans & have the FC automatically turn them up & down depending on what I am doing.

My case right now is quite quiet......louder since moving over to the bay res though. The only thing I have found so far that even claims to do anything like this is that T-Balancer gizmo.

Am I wasting my time?

Lamptron Touch - I used one for precisely this purpose. Has temperature sensors associated with 6 fans, each of which can be controlled manually (on the excellent touch screen, also 30W per channel), or you can set it to automatic, set the temperature at which the fan goes to 100% and set the speed when the temperature is below the threshold. It's not quite as 'complete' control wise as the Aquero, but then again, you aren't relying on software that won't be updated. Or finicky COM port - USB conversions.

Once set up it doesnt require the software and has the ability to shutdown if parts get too hot, a brilliant piece of kit!

Depends on how often you change stuff. I had (still have? Hmm, need to check) the Heatmaster, and before that the BigNG, but they annoyed me so much I looked for an alternative. I couldn't ever get the BigNG setup, but did get the Heatmaster set up for a while, until (because it was an ongoing build) I plugged the Heatmaster back in. It's never connected, because the hardware hasn't been made for USB, but old COM ports, and they seem to be a complete pain in the arse to use.
