Hey I recently bought the Akasa AK-FC-03 Fan Controller Pro and connected it up to my power supply and the 3pin fan connectors. The display tells me what speeds my 4 fans are doing (around 2000) but when I turn the dial down to make them slower nothing happens on any of the 4 fans. The power supply and 3 pin connectors are obviously all connected properly because it tells me what speeds my fans are currently doing. Am I doing something wrong or does this sound like a faulty product? Is it normal that if 1 dial doesnt work then none of them will. I have 4 thermaltake 120mm fans connected to it and each of them are connected to my power supply properly.

Any ideas?

When you talk about 3-pin leads, do they have 3 wires coming out of them (red/black/yellow) or is it a 3-pin connector with 1 wire (yellow) and your fans are actually powered off a 4-pin molex connector?

yeh i only got the yellow going to my 3pin fan connector which explains why theres no power when i take out the molex.

something else thats a bit strange is that i have the red, 2 x black and a yellow going to 4-pin molex from the fans themselves but theres also a smaller red cable stuck in with yellow and a red/black cable going into the same hole as one of the blacks if thats makes sense. This is how these fans came i've not modified them. theyre 2 thermaltake blue led and 2 red led fans.

is this cable the answer to my prayers? http://www.overclockers.co.uk/showproduct.php?prodid=CB-012-AK&groupid=701&catid=48&subcat=153

hang on i meant to say that the only cables coming from the fans themselves is the 1 x yellow in a 3 pin fan connector and a red and red/black going into a 4pin molex with a yellow, 2x black and a red coming out of that...
