Just looking at new fan controllers i have apache and viper fans which have the 4pin block

was seriously considering the scythe kaze but it only has a 3pin block no i know you can put a 4 pin into a 3 pin but the KAZE blocks are enclosed hence no way to physically get them in.

And splitter or adaptors available to correct this or even fan controller with open pins so i can just stick the 4 pin onto a 3 pin if need be.

Shame really cause i really liked the look of the scyth controllers

How about the Zalman ZM-MFC1 Plus Black, can take upto 6 fans, and is an open backed controller, with good space between the connectors, so 4 pin ones wouldn't be an issue.

ok i'm officially an idiot

all i need is a normal 30cm 3pin fan exstension cable as it uses a male and female end so i connect the female 3 pin to the fan controller and the male 3pin to the 4pin pwm of the fan .

it's late i'm tired bla bla bla

so will be ordering the kaze master now :)

so lots of extra cables to sort out, thats gonna be fun, don't forget a good supply of cable ties then.

ah it's all in prep for the water cooling, so might not even go in yet but can't hurt to try it out first, might use the temp sensors for my coffee when it stops beeping it's safe to drink LOL

I have the Kaze Master. If you're talking about the 3 pin connectors on the controller then they are mini connectors. Extention cables that have the mini 3-pin on one end and a normal 4 pin connector on the other end are suppied with it. :)

Edit: should have realised that you figured it out. The cables they give are very good. I can reach anywhere in my CM-690ii with them.
