Fan controller problems

Hello.
I ordered and just receiver a fan controller from OCUK

I have installed the 3 case fans and the CPU fan onto it. controls The rpm of the fans brilliantly but when I go to boot my pc it beeps and says CPU fan error and won't let me load windows. Is there anyway past this?

its best to have the cpu fan connected to the mobo this is why you are gettin the error, the pc thinks you dont have a cpu fan

its also better for the cpu fan to be connected to the mobo so it can adjust the rpm if and when it needs it

Most mobos have a setting in the bios to disable the "cpu fan fail warning". But it is there for a reason!

I had this problem also, but then removed it from the CPU fan and it worked fine

Why would you want to use the CPU fan in a fan controller... lol

you would need the speed sensor wire separating from the fan and plugging back into the cpu header to get round this
