i have a vantec nexus fan controller hooked up to 2x120mm sharkoons and a 92mm fan blowing over my thermaltake tower cpu cooler
even on the lowest speed setting the fans are noisy
if i do the 12v>7v mod on the molex that powers the fan controller will this [safely] allow me to run the fans slower?
(opteron 170 at 2.7ghz, normally no problems with case/cpu/system temps)
