Can I have a whole bunch off fans on one channel? Or are there any that will let me control 6 in synch?

My CPU is under water and is running very cool. When not under much load, I doubt I would need the fans on at all. But I have a severe case of lazyitis, controlling each fan in turn is more trouble than its worth.

Depends on the power needed for each fan and the power each channel pumps out.
I think on average, a decent fan controller can have 4 fans on.

Use PWM control, splitters and fans. Not sure if there's a limit to how far a PWM signal can go but I've had well over 10 fans running off my PWM converter circuit.

I am using 3 GTs on the rad, and 3 of whatever random corsair fans came with my case (800D). The corsairs are louder by a fair bit, so I may swap them out for 3 more GTs and see how the volume levels are then.

Oddly my new GPU, the 3GB KFA 660ti, is very quiet, seems quieter than my case fans on idle. In game I don't notice it at all, to busy with the game obviously.
