Fan controller suggestions?

Hi guys, used these forums for a while and found most of the answers i've needed from old posts.
The issue i have now is a bit more specific to my rig..... Basically im looking for a decent quality fan controller that can gradually increase fan speed vs temp, rather than the usual alarm triggering full fan speed. only needs to control two 140mm aerocool shark fans i have in the side panel for GPU cooling. Rest are handled fine by AI suite 3.

Current system setup means i get a hell of a lot of noise from my Asus GTX 570's in sli on load, i can reduce this by manually increasing the side panel fan speed increasing airflow, but just means i get irritating fan noise at idle.

Any suggestions welcome, Thanks.

I'm sure this can be done with software?
Speedfan for example.

You could always use a physical fan controller and set the fans to a airflow/noise level you deem suitable

Also, have you tried using a custom fan profile on MSI Afterburner to reduce the speed of the fans on the GPU's?

Hi, yes ive set a fan profile in MSI, theyre just noisy buggers above anything more than 50% fan duty, needs to be running around 65-70% when on load to peg temps to a reasonable 80-85 on top card.
Running the side fans at around 1000rpm makes temps run lower so obv less gpu fan noise on load,but then the side fans are noisy on idle, lol.

Cant get speedfan to run on my new OS install (win8.1) for some reason, im not bad with assembling and day to day stuff on PC, but im lost when it comes to the ins and outs of getting speedfan to run so just abandoned it.

TBH its me just wanting to get the system to the point i can just boot and play without faffing swapping fan profiles in AI suite. Would be nice to just have the side fan speed up with increased GPU temp.

I suppose ideally you'd want the speed of the side fans to increase automaticlly when the graphics card fans increase. If you have access to the 4 pin fan connector on board the top card you could possibly use it and a special cable assembly to control your case fans as well as the graphics card fan.

Or you could find a temerature controlled fan that has a probe you can move around.

Get a fan controller than has 5 headers? Then you can control all of them

I use a NZXT Senry Mix 2, and would definitely recommend it.

I've had issues with my Asus gene V software, would jump all over the place so uninstalled & bought the new NZXT senrty 3...

Its working great, rather than increasing the fans for CPU I've placed the temperature sensor on the GPU, this means that it only goes up when the cards being pushed ! Its totally automatic on Performance mode !

When idle it it runs the fans around 40%. I have all my fans Plugged in (they are all 4 pin/PWM) so my H110 doesn't suffer from being run on low...

This is what im after...... Does it automatically raise / lower fan speed based on the probe temp then? Looking for one with a gradual increase rather than just whacking them to 100% duty at a preset limit.

Yes sir ! Sure does depending on the profile you want. Performance has a more increase slope... I've placed my probe in between the PCB & backplate for the GPU & once it hits about 67c its running at 100%... On quiet mode its around 70/80% !

I bought it cos it has PWM 4 pin headers as I didn't want to replace all my fans but it turns out its a nice bit of kit ! The only bad is the viewing angles, they all suffer from that...

Worth £35, I'd say if you don't want the hassle of software...
