fan controller thermomiter thingies

yeah.. ahyway my question is

were exactly do it put it on the cpu to get an accurate reading? i have one at mo but that is jus shoved inbetween the heatsink fins. should i put it between the chip an the heatsink? tho thought i read sumwere not to do that


also same question for gfx card

and i have 2 more "thermomiter thingies" so were would be good place to put them?
it has a preset of powersupply but i dont no were to get the heat reading from

You want to stick the thermal probe to the EDGE of the CPU IHS, not inbetween the IHS and the Heatsink base, this would ruin the contact between them and overheat the Core.

Search the forums Im sure there is a thread somewhere with a pic of the thermal probe correctly placed. Dont have a digi cam at the moment so I cant post pics of mine (not that I could be arsed to remove my waterblock anyhow)
