Fan controller wiring issue

Hello
As i am naturally cautious i decided to ask this before i go ahead and do it !

I just purchased a simple fan controller that can handle 36W per channel ,
No fancy LED read out, just 6 sliders , plain and simple.
I just want to run the two Scythe Typhoon 1850's on it that work as push/pull on my watercooler.
Question is .. because it has no fan speed indication and wires just from the fans to the fan controller , is it possibe to also connect to the CPU header on the motherbaord using the Y splitter cable and then to both the fans and fan controller so that i can still see fan speed in the BIOS still etc , or is that risky ?
I am thinking its like feeding two power sources to the fans at once !!
Is it ok to do it ?

Thanks.

Just connect the fan speed sensor to the motherboard fan header (pin 3 - yellow, white or green)
Then use your fan controller to supply power to the cpu fan

**Edit**

Didn't read your question properly, i had a quick look and those fans say they are 3-pin so i'm assuming the third line is a speed sensor ??? If so then connecting this third cable to pin 3 - yellow, white or green on the cpu header should get what you want!!
That said I'd check and do some research first as getting it wrong and chucking voltages down the wrong lines could result in a dead mobo!!

Thanks for the help.
Yikes !! a dead mobo !! i dont think i'll risk it , i have ony had this new sys a few weeks

I think perhaps i might just go by the LED white for low and Blue for high lights on the controller ..
Do you think i could use the Y Splitter that came with my Water cooler to run both fans on one slider so that i can control both at the same time. Its 36W so can handle two fans no problem. Thanks
