Hi all

I wonder if you can assist me in the following problem;

I have just replaced my case fans, and the fan in my TT with 4 x YATE LOON 120mm - D12SM-12, I have also fitted a MFC1+ to control them.

Now as far as I am concerned I have followed the diagram for fitting correctly, but when I turn one of the knobs for fan speed it does not slow down or speed up (bright red led on show), they just seem to be runnning full speed all the time.

Is there something that I have missed :confused:

Also it is a lot quieter than the standard fans so will recommend these for anyone who needs to buy some fans :D

Have you tried any other fans on it?

Have you tried connecting the fans direct to it and not via the extensions?

only other fans I have got are the antecs from my case !!

And if I dont use the extensions the lead wont reach the controller, I was wondering if I should not connect the power for the fans to my PSU and see if they just run off the controller, what do you think :confused:

There's your problem fella!

You only need to connect the fan to the controller for it to be powered. Basically, your fan controller is connected to a molex isn't it, and the fan controller then powers the fans.

On the yate loon fans, you have a 3 pin and a molex connector (well, on mine they do!), so just disconnect the molex connectors and you should be able to control the speed from the fan controller.

:)

Brilliant thanks Tooks, I wonder whether ot not to use both connections :eek:, right I will disconnect the molex ones :D

Once again thank you :cool:
