I'm looking into buying a fan controller as i stream a lot of things from my PC to my TV.

The main reason behind this is because my fan seems to be very loud and i have to turn my TV up to hear it.

Will this cause my CPU to overheat at all if i turn the fans down low? and how would i connect it up to control the fans, I have 2 fans.

Thanks

I doubt it. You should be fine when doing non intensive tasks. You could always monitor the temps while doing so though.

Thanks :)

First off what fans are they? Are they intakes and exhausts? And are they 3/4 pin or molex.

Well i'm expecting it to be the fan on my CPU that's making all the noise and i believe it's 4 pin

I did a review of the Hydra Pro from Bitfenix. I took temp and sound readings and posted the results in there. I hope reading the review will answer a lot of your questions :)

Thanks, that looks ace!. What case it that btw?

Personally I wouldn't have a fan controller on a CPU, especially if I had the option of PWM.

Are you sure that PWM the fan control is enabled in your BIOS?
