i would like to get a fan controller that controls all my fan speed by temps without a horrible 5.25 inch bay module. Can someone point me in the right direction as i have no idea where to start.
(maybe explain how it would work and what i need to buy?)

Low end controlling = NZXT Sentry LXE

High end controlling = Aquacomputer 5 LT

NZXT Sentry LXE is an external controller whereas AQ 5 LT is a fan controller that you can mount anywhere in your case and connect to your mobo via a USB connection and allow automatic control via your windows.

But AQ 5 LT is more of an advanced controller for watercooling systems :D

Im using one of these (link below) ordered it from the USA, got it in 7 days, only cost me £14 with shipping, I hate big fan controllers too and wanted all my fans on all of my radiators controller by the CPU header, this does the job perfectly, plug all you fans into it, connect a power cable to it and the other cable from the device connects to the CPU header, all of my fans are now controlled by my CPU temps as would a heatsink's pwm fan.

Best investment I ever made to control my fans, running 8 x Noctua NF-F12's off it, and its tiny, hides anywhere in the case, I cut the SATA connector off it and replaced it with a molex connector, just easier for me that way.

No, shipping was too expensive, not sure im allowed to say this, but I ordered it from FrozenCPU

Sorry guys, but OCuk dont sell them, infact you cant buy them anywhere in the UK

okay thank you, helped out a lot. (OCuk you should get these they look very handy and im sure they will sell like mad)

Is this true?

"Reviewer: gutserker (1)
a well built product, but I get absolutely no PWM control like it''s supposed to. all fans run at max. note this ONLY does fan control on PWM 4-pin fans. 3-pin runs max speed."

Cost me $18.49 from that site including shipping, that was by US Postal Service, but its also fully tracked although they will tell you its not, thats £10.96, been a while since I ordered one.

im running all corsair fans which are 3pin connector fans, i dont think i can use this product sadly :(

the only way you can speed control 3 pin fans unfortunately is manually, you need PWM fans to do automatic, the 4th wire on a pwm fan is connected to a little temperature monitoring chip in the fan itself.

Thanks Doyll. Just to put things into pictures.

Best fan controller I've ever used. I'm a little biased of course.

Indeed I do. In fact I just sent one off to another forum member earlier today. I haven't been counting but I've probably made at least 30 of these things over the last couple of years.

As a testament to Tealc's work. I've had one running two Corsair SP120 Performance fans since around November of 2012. It's still in my rig now, operating as new.

That said the design of mine is one of the early "development" models. The "production" ones seem much better.
