my controller has both a male and female molex connector, does this go straight into my BE-quiet PSU ????

because the actual fan pin connector socket is for 3 fans only, plus its speed is automatically controlled by the psu fan, so that's no good

but how about the Hard Drive cable ? because that has a molex socket on it ?
is its voltage/amperage ok because i have 6 fans

Yes, you run a 4-pin molex cable from the PSU (which come with the unit) straight up to the FC.
Most PSUs have cables with two or three sockets along it, so you should be able to use the hard drive Molex cable just fine.

Based on the instructions (http://www.akasa.co.uk/download/manual/AK-FC-08BKV2_installation.pdf), I think the controller is giving you the option of either male or female, depending on what connector is available in your particular system.

The 3-pin connector works with 3-pin or 4-pin fans (also shown in manual). You just don't have full PWM control.

Each of your 6 channels can cope with up to 20W of fans. That's 12x10W fans, 6x20W fans, or whatever fans you've chosen.
