Fan controlling by software?? can it be done?

is there a program to slow down fans connected to my Dfi Ultra-D?

Speedfan slows down fans..

But they have to be a special type,

install smartgaurdian - that came with your mobo drivers cd. This works for me where sppeedfan never.

As long as the fans have all three power leads then speedfan should work, its the MOBO and the sensors onboard that make the difference.

Did that works a treat, thanks.

one thing i found in there, my cpu fan was only set to hit full speed at 60'C as DFI's undereport temps this would be more like 70'C, thats just bad settings. changed it to automatic and dropped all the sliders to suit my temps. working great, thanks.
