Having ordered a new mobo, cpu, graphics card and case + new Zalman fans to go with my cpu and graphics card I was wondering if I should fit in a fan controller or would it be better to just let my system control the fans?

My Asus mobo comes with Asus Q - fan and im guessing my X1800 XT ati drivers will have something similar although being new hardware for me i dont know how good they control the fans. Noise isnt really a bother to much for me when playing games but having yet to test it i dont know what it will be like when left downloading or idle.

I was looking at the aerogate 2 or something along those lines but as Im only going to do slight overclocking, I wasnt sure if its benificial or not.
My case also already has a temp display for my cpu and HDD but no fan controller so im not sure if the temperature probes from an seperate temp/fan device would get in the way.

Is there any auto controller that adjusts fans for the situation or is that something that the mobo handles? Mainly just a device or even software like Speedfan to keep my case, cpu, hdd and graphics card cool when it needs it

This is the 1st time ive ever even thought about controlling the fans so forgive my newbness :D

i use speed fan and this controls my cpu fan and case fan i also use a graphics card overclocking program called triXX and u can control fan and change gpu ram settings

The zalman's are very quiet, i have both the cpu and gpu coolers in my system at the minute, and the only noise is the horrible 12cm vantec stealth i've got i the front of the case.

I also have an Asus board and am using q-fan, although i have an aerogate 2 sitting in the case unused, so will probably reconnect the case fans to that
