Hi,

Can anyone recommend a couple of 120mm fans to install into a CM Storm Scout side window?

I currently have the 3 standard fans which came with the case. 1 in the front as intake, 2 in the back & top as exhaust. I am under the impression if I have the 2 new ones as intake it will case positive pressure in the case? There is an unfiltered grille in the back of the case which I think is drawing dust in due to the negative pressure.

With the positive pressure am I right in thinking air will be foreced out of the unfiltered grille and gaps in the case instead of dust filled air being drawn in?

Also can anyone recommend dust filters for the new fans in the side window.

Sorry if my post is difficult to read, I'm typing on my phone. It seems to be difficult to scroll through my post to check my grammar.

Thanks

I wouldn't put any fans in the window of that case!

I had that case previously and adding any fans to the side caused a horrible vibrating noise due to the slit like cutouts. It also had a negative affect on my CPU temps despite making my graphics card marginally cooler.

Hi and welcome to the forums :)

I am not familiar with your case, but as its set up now sound ok.
as a general rule
Front and side fans as intakes
Top and rear fans as exhausts.

So you have 1 front fan now as an intake, is there room for another one? if so, defo get one.
also the unfiltered one at the rear, just fit a fan there as well but as an exhaust, and grab a few cheapo 120mm fan filters.

regarding the fans themselves, it all depends on your budget, just get the best ones you can afford
