Fan Filters

With my new case came the inevitable purchase of 10 new 120mm fans. Ive noticed these on OcUK http://www.overclockers.co.uk/showproduct.php?prodid=CM-028-RY as well. Now, do these go straight onto the fan so that you have the filter between the fan and the inside wall of the case? Or do they replace the grill on the exterior of the case?

Normal before the fan so fans sucks through it and keeps fan cleaner also.

I got a couple of those at the weekend.

The netting is convex so it couldn't be mounted between the fan and the case (unless your case has a big hole for the fan) but yeah, it should go in front of the fan to filter out the dust it'd be sucking in.

I also found my yateloons were hitting them when mounted directly to the fans unless I used a couple of washers between the fan and filter.

My case has a door so ain't an issue to fit outside with fan screws going through it then through case and into fan body. (well I don't use screws but you get the picture).

10! wow that's a lot of fans, and here's me sitting wondering whether to replace my 4 x 120mm with Noctua P12's
