fan fixing screws

6-32 is the thread of screws in hard drives and motherboard mounts, PSUs, PCIe covers, basically case screws.

Not sure what the fan screws are but they're much thicker and a self cutting thread like wood screws.
yes mostly but i have two fans in the front of a corsair 780t and they are longer screws that screw into the case

Are you looking for fan screws for fans or fan screws for radiators? Different beasts
fan screws for the front of a corsair 780t that screw into the case directly ..

also looking to screw a rad into the top of the case and supplied screws are too short as the corsair has a little isolation bush so need longer screws here too thought they were the same

Pop one out and compare it to the two main types of case screw: 6-32 as mentioned and M3 for SSDs and CD drives. M3 is slightly thinner overall and has a much finer, more "machine" type thread on it. If it matches M3 that'd make sense.

yeah i had m3 and m4 in stock when i first tried it and neither fitted so i bought the unc and these wont screw in nicely by hand either..

will get the bolt boxes out again tomorrow and try again..

Looks like you ordered the right things then
will try again tomorrow maybe im just tired and need to use an allen key as wont screw in by hand .. just wonder if unc or if maybe unf ..

thanks hopefully they just need a little more force. they do look right when threads are held against each other
