Hi Guys,

Have a rather old shuttle that's my main PC; it's been sluggish for a while and on examination the fan at the rear has stopped working.

Had a quick look at the OC store and the all seem to 80x80x25, I need it to be 80x80x15, which seems to be scarce.

Also do I need any special kind of fan, someone suggested shuttles where fussy about fans?

It's an SB61 BTW.

Thnaks,
Martin

I've never heard shuttles to be fussy about fans, mine takes a 92x92x25 though, I did try replace it with the best fan I could find but in the end the shuttle fan cooled the best. As long as you find one that shifts air well and is the same size I don't see why you would have any problems.

I would personally just grab a replacement fan from a reputable shuttle dealer.

I'd point you in the right direction but it's a competitor obviously.

Should only be about £7 IIRC

Panaflo fans used to be some of the best for noise to cfm ratio. I have a few of the big 120x38mm ones and they are great :)

have a google for DorothyBradbury and you'll find some 80x15mm fans with some half decent specs

If not, have a look to see if Noiseblocker make 80x15mm fans? I had the 25mm ones in a few of my older shuttles and they worked well too
