Hi All,

I've got an InWin 303 case which I've recently re-utilised in my Ryzen 5 build. Previously it had an air cooler so I had three fans at the bottom for intake, three up top for exhaust, plus one at the rear which was exhausting warm CPU air (the air cooler fan was orientated to exhaust towards the rear fan).

On my recent build I went for a Corsair H100 v2. I've still got three intake fans at the bottom, at the top I've got the AIO cooler exhausting out, but I've not yet fitted the rear fan - I'm not sure what the rear fan should do, would it be better pulling in cool air to the AIO, or would it be better sucking hot air out of the case?

There's a 980Ti with a blower fan inside the case which I'd guess is just dumping its warmer air inside.

Thanks.

Best way to find out is to test it as it will vary from system to system and fans itself. So its only a single fan i would load up a benchmark for cpu and gpu, note your motherboard temperatures, vrm, cpu temps then turn the fan over and test again.... xD, just make sure other fans including gpu are not on auto but fixed value so results are consistent.

Haha I was hoping you wouldn't say that :D I feel like I've been tweaking the system since I built it. Guess you're right though, another night of tinkering can't hurt!

Thanks for your advice!

If anyone's interested and has a similar case/layout, it makes a big difference having that rear fan as an exhaust.
