Still mulling over what case to get, and after reading about the issues with the stacker 830, I think the TJ07 is a candidate.

A couple of questions though :

1. There is no intake fan, so how do your gpu's in sli get cooled. Do the top 120mm exhaust fans run quicker then the rear 92mm intake fans and create a slow negative pressure that pulls air in from the grille over the pci area ?

2. I am fitting a Arctic Cooling Freezer 7 Pro. Should I position it so the fan blows upwards towards the top 120mm exhaust fans ?

3. I read somewhere the 2nd revision of the TJ07 would address the issue of the hard to get off sidepanels and mislabeled hd and power cables. Does anyone know if this has been addressed yet ? I see OcUK were out of stock for ages so I can only guess they have the newer revisions in now.

Thanks

Unfortunately with the inverted case design on the V series, the heatpipe on my board would not work right. Thanks for the info. on the TJ07 though. I do actually like the look of the Coolermaster 830 though.

AFAIK the upside down design doesn't affect the heatpipe, i'm not completely sure on this though. Try and have a google and see what you can find on it.

I had an A8N Premium before and Asus warned me not to use this in Lian-Li 1000 series. So I didn't. Not sure what the temp differernce would have been.

Ok...but how do the gpu's get cooled with no intake ?

And what way should the cpu fan be orientated - facing upwards towards rear 120mm exhausts, or facing towards the rear 92mm fans.

And the big question...do the fans need to be turned down ? The specs of the 92mm ones sound like they might be noisy.

By the way, how is cable management and did you 12v aux connector reach the end of the mobo. The psu looks like it is seated in the same spot as the P180 and cable management was a nightmare on that.

Need to make my mind up today what case to get. I can just manage to afford one but right now am leaning towards the Eclipse as it seems simpler, and probably cools as well.

The upside down mobo mounting does not affect the cooling of the chipset....except on the Asus Boards!

I guess if you have tested it you have tested it. But Asus did say the thing would not work properly. I assume the fact the heatpipes are facing the wrong way that gravity can't play it's part and the vapour does not condense along the pipe, the heatpipse doesn't flow properly, so you are left with a buildup of heat.

<edit>Never read your last bit..."except on Asus boards" :) </edit>

Yeah...I read that on the Asus forums...some dudes said they ran about 4 degrees hotter in the LianLi with no active cooling on the chipset. I actually ran one of these mobos in an Antec P180 too and although not inverted, the chipset temps were way way up in the p180.

I guess proper ventillation is the key to everything, and since I am going to be running the Asus P5N32 Sli Deluxe, I am worried that the Tj07 due to lack of intakes would not cool the gpu's properly.

:)

I guess the Eclipse makes the most sense for my needs and I do actually prefer it to the Lian-Li PC7+.

The TJ07 due to lack of intakes is not something I would relish with an sli setup.

That just leaves the Cooermaster 830. I like it's looks :)
