i have the above case and am just moving to watercooling. my cpu and gpu (not graphics memory) will be watercooled and i will have an externally mounted radiator.

I am going for a quiet system and will put 2x akasa amber 120mm on the radiator, i have a 120mm intake (coolermaster 4 in 1 device) at the front in 3x 5 1/2 inch bays - with my HDDs in. my pump is going in the bottom at the front.

I have 4x akasa amber 80mms left and would like to know what fan layout is the best, and how many fans i should have? I was thinking 1 intake on the side window and 1 exhaust. I have the zalman memory sinks on my graphics memory and as such these will need some airflow over them, also i think my ram would benefit from some air!

so how should i mount them?

thanks

No need for loads of fans if you are going over to watercooling. No point in having all those fans in the case. Like Yewen said, 1 in and 1 out would be ok or even just 1 out. I used to have fans in my case but i don't anymore! The temps are fine and i don't have watercooling!

would that be enough to provide a good enough airflow over my graphics ram? if so then - yay :D !!! I might use an additional intake at the bottom if it won't be enough, i suppose the only way to really know is to set it up and see what my temps are like!!

I have a VF900 and a zalman reserator, my entire case air cooling is one Akasa Amber at 5v (very low CFM).

CPU is on water and room temp, and the GPU with no airflow other than its cooler gets to 52deg load. :) Not bad for a 7800gt.

not meaning to hijack at all but just to expand on this point.

would it be better to have one in, to keep case pressure positive and try to prevent dust collecting.

i only ask because my case is the dustiest case in the sout east of england, and its discusting.

i personally would have 1 fan in, as you need some air flow over your chips. although if you water cool everything then you can do without fans.
