Hi everyone,

So I just got a Corsair A50 to run on my i5 (the set up below).

I will also be having 2x 120mm fans too.

I want to know, should I have the fan A50 Fan pointing to the back of the case (airflow going outwards) with a 120mm fan helping take the air out (in the same direction) and the other fan on top, pushing air in?

or

put the A50 pointing backwards, with one of the 120mm's coming from the top (pushing air in) and the other 120mm on the side of the case etc?

or any other suggestions that may be better?

Thanks in advance

(not the best of pics for example, but my suggestion, was the A50 Fan, going from right to left, leading out the back)

Have the fans on the cooler blowing air towards the rear fan spot. If you are going push/pull have both fans working in the same direction.

Top mounted fan would normally be exhaust. Having a fan as intake here would spoil the natural movement of air from front to back, so don't do it.

Any front/bottom mounted fans would normally be intake.

I have a fan on the front already (came with the case)

And that is what I was thinking of a push/pull type (I didn't know it was called that)

so is it a good idea to have one on the back for a push (a50) pull (120mm on the back) and have the other 120mm on the top pushing out?

Thanks for the reply :D

You might see a couple of degrees difference going push/pull. The top fan will help draw air out of the top of the chassis that's dumped into your case by your graphics card.
