Hi everyone, a few of you will probably know from my past posts that I'm trying to quieten my PC. I've got my PC running stable at 36c (system temp) and 40c (cpu temp)

I've been experimenting tonight with making it quiet and I've found the main noise culprit to be my rear 120mm fan which is an Akasa Amber. I've got this unplugged and been running my PC with the side off just to keep it cool as I experiment.
I've checked the BIOS and compared to the front fan in my Akasa Eclipse case, its running at 1500rpm compared to the front fan of 900rpm.

Is there a way I can slow the rear fan down to match the noise and speed of the front fan?

5V mod or 7V mod the fan's molex connector. Or if it's plugged into the mobo, use some software to control the speed.:)

try using a program called Speedfan, You should be able to control some fan headers on the mobo so no need for any mods or controllers.
