Just wanted to check, do you think a 6800gs fan header will run the vf700 zalman fan ok. I might try a 3 to 2 pin conversion so that I can control it via software but am not sure what ampage the header will take.

The stock fan says .36A

I think the Zalmans insist on you running the fan off a molex. Certainly my vf-900 on a 6800 did.

Yes thats how its set by default but apart from the power requirements I see no reason it could not run from the fan header and have its voltage and speed altered by windows software/drivers.


I guess so long as Im sure the fan is less then 0.36amp I can connect it up but Im not sure it is :/
