Fan mounting above CPU?

Ok so I'm playing around with my Asus MVG board today, which is barebones, and I'm currently OC'ing to 4.7ghz @ 1.34v (cpuz) / 1.33v actual. for cooling I'm using an H100.

I happened to touch my VRM heat speaderes and they were hot, not to hot but still the board was reading 39c so I placed a Yates loon fan running 1000rpm on top and instantly the VRM's were cold to the touch and the board temp dropped to 29c.

I am currently waiting for my bitfenix is ghost case to arrive and I'm now a little concerned that the temps will rocket as it is a sound proofed case. Is there a way I could mount a fan above the socket securely so that I won't get any heat problem?

Many thanks

I think perhaps you are worrying too much. VRMs are perfectly happy generally being hot to the touch. They are normally OK well over 100 degrees.

Tempted to try one of those lol, my VRM temps rarely go over 60 though. :p Check HWMonitor it might show your VRM temps in motherboard section. Surely the 39C was board temp and not VRM? Was this at idle?:)
