Hello,

I am using the Coolermaster Elite 335 Case with a front 120mm fan bringing air in and another 120mm at the rear drawing the air out. I noticed on the side panel there is a little grill and also what looks like a plastic tunnel attached? I basically just wanna know if I could remove that tunnel and put another fan there to target the CPU with more cool air? the hole seems to be about 80mm but I'd like another 120mm fan there and was wondering if there was something that would let me do that without sawing through the case. :D

Thanks :)

I would think that a 120 in the side would disrupt the airflow for the bad. That tunnel you have, Does it channel down to the CPU heatsink ? If so I would keep the tunnel & fix an 80 in the side, This will suck the air Directly out of the CPU heatsink & won't disrupt the airflow of your case.

I find that adding a 120mm fan to the side of my antec 300 actually warms the CPU up slightly, although the GPU drops by a similar amount.

The only thing you can really do is try it.

Are you unhappy with your temps? If not, adding an extra fan is just making your rig noisier for no reason.
