im after some advice on fans, ive got fans as in pic:

fanspic.jpg

what do you recon to the proposed 80mm at top of window blowing out? this is to draw out hot air that gathers at the top (due to hot air rising and all that)

i would put it in the top of my case but i dont want to have to strip out everthing to avoid metal filings, from the drilling 120mm hole, dropping on all my hardware

any other comments on my existing cooling setup appreciated

thanks

Looks a bit like the setup I have in my P180, except I don't have one on the door/window.

You can have a fan on the top going quite slowly - although not much air will come out, it will be all the warmest air.

Feeling the air now, the air coming out of the back feels warmer. But your input fan is much stronger than your output fan, so maybe you need to equalise the pressure in there a bit more with a top fan. Keep it moving slowly though, and at the back of the case.

the psu has a large fan on it sucking air out so how does this come into play in a pc setup?

You don't need to equalise pressure, if anything it's better to have more fans at the back of the case than the front.

so i'll not bother with the proposed 80 mm at the top then

would it be better to get rid of the cheap akasa and get another scythe 1600rpm in its place at the back?

cheers
