Fan Placement

Afternoon guys.

I'm wondering about the fan placement on my InWin 503 case.

Currently, I've got 3 Apache Black fans (2 x front, 1 x bottom) as my intakes and a standard InWin fan for the exhaust.

I am tempted to move the bottom intake to the exhaust but I might just replace the InWin fan for another Apache Black.

Would removing 1 intake make much difference in terms of temps?

Depends on the case and components really.

I unplugged my front intake fan and it barely made any difference, a degree or two peak temperature, which I would consider within the margin of error.

So would you recommend I keep the current set-up as is?

Would changing the exhaust with a better fan make much difference?

Hard to say, try some different configurations with what you already have and test the temperature differences with real bench or whatever.

If the pc is currently performing fine and temps well within safe range, I'd look at disconnecting the cheaper noisier fans and see how you go, less fans is less noise, and it might make very little difference to temperatures.

Then if that works out OK, you could buy a super fancy fan for your CPU, for even less noise.
