Right guys,

So I have a Corsair 450D with an Corsair H60 V2 cooling a Intel i5 4690k (Temps are nice and low, ideals mid to high 20's after few hours on Far Cry 4 reaching mid 40's) also housing a MSI GTX 970 (Far Cry 4, 58/65c 40/50% fan speed after few hours)

Now I currently have case fans set up as so.

Rear 120MM Exhaust attached to the rad.
140MM Intake at the front.
140MM Intake at the front.

I have a 120MM Corsair SP120 Quiet Edition laying around was going to push and pull but after research seen temp differences not all that big of a deal, unless this would help cool my GPU due to exhausting heat from the case?

Anyway the main idea I had was to mount this fan on the bottom of the case infront of PSU as an intake which I assume would blow cold air up into the GPU and help chuck that heat up towards the rear exhaust and also out the top of the case, Would this be counter produce as I only have 1 x 120MM exhaust and 3 in takes or would I see a GPU temp drop or resulting in the GPU's fan not working as hard?

I welcome any advise for me to get the best gains with the equipment I have.

Thanks

As much as spending hours thinking about the theory might seem productive, it's nearly always better to just try different fan positions out and see how temps are affected.

I would nearly always have more intake than exhaust, given that it's supposed help stop dust build up (positive pressure) and the air should be able to escape nicely through the grille areas on the case and the single 120mm exhaust fan you have by itself as it would naturally want to escape due to the positive pressure inside the case

However, Disco does make a good point, sometimes fans just like doing what they want and some funny configurations often do work :D
