I am looking for some advice regarding fans chassis and CPU fans. My motherboard is a Asus Maximus VI Hero and it has a CPU Fan connector, an Opt CPU Fan connector and 3 chassis fan connectors. All of them have 4 pins. My questions are:
1. Can I run a non-PWM chassis fan from the Opt CPU Fan connector and control it's speed using the motherboard?
2. Will this splitter allow the 4 pin CPU Fan Connector to power two PWM fans or does the splitter need to specify that it has PWM support?
