Fan running very slow

Hello

I have recently bought components from OCUK for to make a desktop system. Very happy with the system, apart from the following:-

I have the Asus P8Z68-V Intel Z68 (Socket 1155) DDR3 Motherboard with a Cooler Master Silencio RC-550 Silent Tower Case - Black. I also have Antec Kúhler H2O 620 CPU Watercooler. The chassis fan (connected to chassis fan 2) appears to only run at 450rpm. This causes an alarm on the mobo softwre and bios. The CPU fan runs at 1400rpm. Neither appear to change when i change the fan settings in the ASUS IA software.

Temperatures are ok cpu currently running at 20 degrees C and motherboard at 27degrees C.

I have not overclocked anything yet.

Any ideas? or is this normal?

450rpm does sound rather low, but if it is a larger fan and the case is called silence whatever, then perhaps it is meant to run that slow... hmmmm...

think im gunna download a benchmark program and stress the system a little and see if they start to change when temperatures increase.

Both front and rear pre-installed fans are 120mm 800rpm for silence, according to the specs.

it wont change unless it is a PWM fan on a PWM header which i dont think it is

You may want to watch this review. More suited as a HTPC or office pc. Not recommended for oc`ing or gaming, unless, as recommened by some who own it, swop out the fans.

Either swop out the fans or disable the alarm in bios as your temps seem absolutely fine.
